On a recent trip to Portland, you forgot your beloved dibby at Grandma and Grandpa's. You've done ok without it but missing it everyday. We got it in the mail this afternoon. Tonight as you were going to bed, you started crying and became so sad. You asked me "have you ever lost something then got it back and it didnt feel the same?" Now that you had your dibby back, it didnt bring you the same amount of comfort that it had in the past. You didnt want to hurt anyones feelings by not wanting it, but at the same time, not sure how to really get along without it. I told you that you are loved no matter what you decide, dibby or not, and it doesnt mean you dont still love it, it just means you got used to finding comfort without it. It was really tough on you and we talked for a long time. I put it at the end of your bed and you fell asleep. When I checked on you a few hours later, this is what I walked in to and I smiled from ear to ear.
