Ok, it wasnt the highlight of YOUR day, but driving home from Boise Dad said "Hey, Ive always wanted to stop and see the golden spike." We just happen to drive by the exit in each drive, so we did it. It ended up being pretty far off the beaten path, but we went and tought you about where the east coast and the west coast railroads met. Its called the Golden spike because its the spike the was driven into the ground when it was done. Ill have you know, its a pretty big deal. Dont you look like you are enjoying this? It was bitter cold, but you were good sports, as usual.
