You will learn about it in history books. I hope with the deepest part of my soul that you will never experience something as awful as what occurred on 9/11/2001 when our country was attacked so brutally and thousands died. Dad and I were at home getting ready for the day. I had a dentist appt that morning and they called me to cancel. When I asked why, they told me to turn on the TV. I remember feeling despair, sadness, shock. I vividly recall falling to my knees and praying for the victims and families. The perpetrator of the attack was killed yesterday. After 10 years, the leader of the worst terrorist group in recent history, Al quaida, is dead. My feelings are mixed. Inherently, it feels very wrong to celebrate the death of any man, regardless of how evil they are. On the other hand, I am so thankful for the brave navy seals and our military and their families that have spent years fighting this war against terror to protect our safety and ultimately kill the man that was solely responsible for the death of thousands of people worldwide. Im proud to be an American and proud to say tonight that we accomplished and finished what we set out to do 10 years ago.
