lengthening the leash

Today has gone by like most of the week. You play outside all day riding up and down the block with your scooters. I never, I mean ever, let you even play in the front yard by yourself, and this week, you have run the block...by yourselves, like for HOURS! Bells, you say I am "too protective". That's true, so I've really tried this week to put away my fears and let you enjoy these last few days of summer break before school starts in 2 days. You do have rules, like buddy system, no going inside friends houses, looking both ways before crossing the street, etc. My heart races the whole time I cant see you, but I suppose I have to give up some of my control and let you be kids who can enjoy what I used to when I was your age. Moses, you LOVE your hot wheels bday scooter, and Bells, after all day in 90 degree weather, you are pretty pooped. Oh I love you both! More than I could ever express in words.
