I was getting ready for a dentist appt in the morning when the office called and cancelled my appt. It was a curious call, they told me to turn on the TV. Dad was at home with me getting ready for work himself. We both sat down in front of the TV just to see the 2nd plane hit the tower. My first thought was that someone had made a terrible mistake. Little did I know the events that were unfolding and what a tradgedy was unfolding before our eyes. What stands out to me the most as I recall my memories of the day was falling to my knees in our kitchen asking Heavenly Father to help me know what I could do to help, in any way. I prayed for the people in New York. I felt so helpless and so devestated. There was nothing anyone could do. It was awefull. Now, 10 years later, what I remember the most are the stories of heroism and how the human spirit conquered. The good of man kind proved itself to be an incredible force of good in this world. The world where we are raising our children. Someday you will learn about this in your history books. Having lived through it in a much removed way, I can tell you, we survived. You can always choose to be a hero, in many capacities. Its a powerful thing.
