Ill huff and Ill puff and Ill blow yours house down

Hi December. I love you I love you I loveyou.

Last night I woke up with a jump. The house was shaking and the wind howled so loud I thought the windows would blow in. I looked out the window expecting to see something scary, but instead saw a beautiful starry night, clear as could be. Perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. From 2-6 I layed in bed wide awake, surprised that I didnt have a bed full of kids. I feel so incredibly thankful for my protection and these 4 walls around us. It didnt take long for Bells to come in and snuggle in close but Rosey and Moses slept through the 102 mph winds! Thats a cat 2 hurricane without the rain! When the sun rose this morning, I couldnt beleive what I saw. the HUGE oak tree out back that kept me worried all night was still standing, but as of about an hour ago, it came crashing to the ground. the root system as tall as half our building.  Siding ripped off the house, huge limbs and 100 year old oaks ripped from the ground, car port ripped apart, debris everywhere, mangled christmas lights across the grass from a few houses down, toppled garage cans, etc. School was cancelled so we stayed in and made brownies and watched christmas movies. Great Grandma spent the day with us as she was without power all day and we are lucky enough to have it. I am so thankful today for our protection, warmth, food, and of course, each other.
ps. Moses, last year, you loved the three little pigs and when it came to the part, you would always say "blow yours house down!!" what a difference a year makes.
